 Shouldering the banks of the scenic Rock River, we are towns of great history and singular wonders-unmatched in Northern Illinois. Our rural charm flows from the rolling river valley. We are a place rich in cultural heritage influenced by the creative efforts of those artists who once lived at Eagle's Nest, high on the bluffs above the Rock River. Lorado Taft's sculpture, known as "Blackhawk" now stands on the site. Visit our surrounding towns that make up our Oregon Area Village of Mt Morris,  Village of Forreston and  Village of Leaf River.
